Art in Healthcare: Autumn Update

Our Art in Healthcare Project has been busy over the past few months, delivering a series of inspiring workshops. We are delighted to have collaborated with NHS staff to develop creative wellbeing sessions aimed at fostering positive mental health, a sense of community and stronger interpersonal connections.

Wellbeing Workshops for NHS Staff

In recent months, we have been facilitating workshops tailored to the needs of the ODL (Organisational Development and Learning) and HR teams. These sessions were designed to support staff wellbeing by focusing on team building and collaboration using creative arts. Participants explored creative methods for working together effectively, discovering new ways to support one another in both professional and personal contexts.

The workshops, held once a month over the course of an afternoon, provided staff with a unique opportunity to engage in activities which complement their roles. These sessions offered a refreshing space for self-expression and reflection, helping to enhance team dynamics and individual resilience.

Occupational Health and Safety Team Workshops

We also had the privilege of working with the Occupational Health and Safety team in a second series of workshops centred around creativity as a tool for wellbeing. These sessions emphasised the benefits of creative activities in managing stress, improving mental health and cultivating a healthier work-life balance.

Through these sessions, we aim to demonstrate how creativity can play a vital role in promoting a supportive and productive work environment. We are proud to contribute to the ongoing efforts to enhance NHS staff wellbeing and look forward to expanding our work in this area.
