Art Journal Development Report

With momentum towards partnership working within D&G’s arts and culture sector, and with a creative vision, OPA sought to galvanise existing relationships, foster new working relationships and alliances, and increase access and investment to facilitate a wide reaching, innovative and ambitious programme of creative wellbeing activity.

With support from SOSE, NHS Endowment Fund and Holywood Trust, OutPost Arts carried out a research and development project that aimed to strengthen and significantly scale up a pilot Art Journal Project programme, identify stakeholder needs, barriers and opportunities and initiate a cross-sector ‘Creative Wellbeing Network’.

“This has been the culmination of fantastic partnership working, delivering an honest appraisal of the creative wellbeing picture in Dumfries & Galloway. Across our region, many individuals and organisations are working hard to deliver support in new ways against a difficult backdrop. Through sharing learning, forming new relationships, and identifying common ambitions, we have been able to understand how we can start to make an effective and long-lasting difference to many people’s lives.”
