Creative Toolbox – New Youth Project

DG Creative Wellbeing has launched Creative Toolbox. This is an exciting new youth creative wellbeing programme for young people from across Dumfries & Galloway dealing with low self-esteem, low confidence and/or poor mental health.

The 2024 Creative Toolbox programme explores a variety of art forms focused on storytelling. It aims to boost creativity, broaden horizons, and increase access to further creative opportunities. Professional artists from across D&G and beyond will facilitate sessions.

There is no cost to take part and there is support to access activities.

Participants will document their storytelling journey in a journal, offering personal space for reflection and mindfulness. At the end of the 11-week programme, work will be shared publicly in a large-scale exhibition in August 2024.

Referrals can be made by organisations/support workers or by parents/guardians.

Young person aged 18+ can self-refer.

For more information or to make a referral, please contact Phoebe (phoebe@outpostarts.co.uk). You will be sent a link to complete a Microsoft Form.

Creative Toolbox is supported by National The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland, Dumfries and Galloway Health Board Endowment Fund, The Robertson Trust, The Holywood Trust and Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund.
