OutPost Arts has established itself at local, regional, and national levels as an innovative and progressive rural arts organisation. With the skills, knowledge, and connections we deliver meaningful and impactful work; supporting people to engage with art/culture and harness creativity as an agent for development, wellbeing, and transformation.
Our board and team are fuelled by the belief that people should have equal access to high-quality creative opportunities to enhance their lives, build skills and widen their horizons. Through connecting with art and culture, we create vibrant, robust, and resilient communities.
In the wake of the pandemic, OutPost Arts has made a long-term commitment to develop specialism in creative health and wellbeing – creative expression unlocks people’s potential to heal and supports the formation of coping mechanisms to help manage mental health – developing and expanding new skills and growing confidence in the process.
Our programmes confront issues such as isolation, low confidence/self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and trauma by connecting people in need to meaningful, creative interventions – often in their own communities.
