Then & Now Exhibition Launched
The Then & Now installation has been unveiled at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, Ward C4. The exhibition has been created by Graeme Robertson Centre for Practised Arts, Dumfries. The images displayed blend old Dumfries with the present day, using old photos overlayed and merged with new photos of the same locations. Remembering Together
Remembering Together is a national project to create community covid memorials in every local authority in Scotland. The Dumfries and Galloway project is led by commissioned artists t s Beall and Katie Anderson. Upland made will take place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November 2023 at Easterbrook Hall in Dumfries. A visual art and craft fair selling handmade, bespoke and unique work made by Upland members, Upland made celebrates the handmade. The DG Creative Wellbeing Network is helping to coordinate Dumfries and Galloway’s contribution to the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival 2023. The festival takes place from Wednesday 4 to Sunday 22 October. A unique programme has been launched in the region bringing together art and healthcare. Supported by Dumfries and Galloway Health Board Endowment Fund, OutPost Arts (OPA) is coordinating a two-year Art in Healthcare programme for the local NHS.
